Life Changing Ministries Church, as it is now called, was founded in 1981 by Pastor Lonnie G. Harrison Sr. and wife Prophetess Lady Dianne. These two anointed vessels were moved by word of the Lord and stepped out on faith to established Mt Carmel COGIC. They believed wholeheartedly in following the Holy Spirit and ministering to spiritual needs of the people in the Chicagoland area. People were saved, delivered and changed by the power of the Holy Spirit. God began doing a new thing and later Changed the name to Life Changing Ministries.

After 40 years of faithful service as Pastor, a shift was taking place. The Lord spoke to him to appoint, then Assistant Pastor, Christopher McDonald, as Senior Pastor with his wife Prophetess Lady Bridgette McDonald.

In obedience to Word of the Lord, Elder Christopher McDonald was ordained as  Pastor of Life Changing Ministries March 28, 2021.
